Keyboard shortcuts

Every shortcut in Kitlig, grouped by where it works. On macOS, use Cmd where Ctrl is listed, and Settings opens with Cmd+,.

Application and project

Canvas mode

Single-letter tool keys and the view keys work while the pointer is over the canvas area.

`Space` in the palette generator	Reroll the unlocked slots
`Ctrl`+`[` / `Ctrl`+`]`	Send the selected layers backward / bring forward
`Ctrl`+`C` / `Ctrl`+`X` / `Ctrl`+`V`	Copy, cut, paste layers (paste also takes an image from the OS clipboard)
`Del`	Delete the selected layers, or clear the selected pixels when a selection exists
`Ctrl`+`A` / `Ctrl`+`D` / `Ctrl`+`Shift`+`I`	Select all, deselect, invert
`Q` / `Ctrl`+`H`	Quick mask tint / hide the marching ants
`Shift` / `Alt` while selecting	Add to / subtract from the selection (both: intersect)
`Enter` / `Esc`	Accept / drop a Select Subject candidate, close a polygon or pen path
`Backspace`	Remove the last polygon or pen point, or the last Select Subject click (clicking a dot removes it too)
Arrow keys / `Shift` + arrows	Nudge the selected layers by 1 px / 10 px
